Coaches Meeting

The annual Tournament Banquet will be hosted at the Prestige Lakeside Resort & Convention Centre located at 710 Lakeside Drive with a full buffet dinner Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m.

The introductory coaches meeting and orientation will be held in the Prestige Lakeside Resort & Convention Centre following Wednesday’s banquet at approximately 8:15 p.m. and after all the teams have registered.

This meeting will introduce you to the tournament director, review the tournament rules and guidelines, ensure tournament protocols are known and answer any questions people may have regarding the tournament.

Every team must have a representative attend this meeting.

Coaches Checklist

1. Registered with the BCJGBA
2. Emailed a jpeg photo and submitted team roster to Debbie Fuhr at gurd[at]shaw.ca
3. Cheque for entry fee - $300 payable to L.V Rogers Secondary School, attention Sue Moisey
4. Cheque for team clothing, banquet tickets and programs – payable to L.V Rogers Secondary School, attention Cathie McLaren - REMEMBER MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23 DEADLINE!
5. Submitted team order form for clothing, banquet tickets and programs
               – send by email to jimandcathiem[at]gmail.com
6. Returned or collected any perpetual tournament trophies
7. Booked hotel reservations by February 1, 2009 – earlier the better!
8. Gathered two door prizes for tournament banquet
9. First-Aid supplies packed
10. Bring own game warmup basketballs

Coaches Activities

Team registration at tournament – Wednesday, March 4, 5:30 p.m. at the Prestige Lakeside Resort & Convention Centre, prior to banquet.

Coaches Introductory Meeting – Following banquet (approx 8:15 p.m.) at the Prestige Lakeside Resort & Convention Centre.
Team photos to be taken prior to first game at a location to be determined.

Tournament Banquet – Wednesday, March 4, 6:00 p.m. (dinner served at 6:30 p.m.) at the Prestige Lakeside Resort & Convention Centre.

BCJGBA Annual General Meeting – Saturday, March 7, 8:15 a.m. at L.V Rogers Secondary School.

Closing Ceremonies – following championship final game in L.V. Rogers Hangar Gym.
